Everything is Energy
Everything Is Energy: How Science, Emotion, and the Cosmos Are Connected
We live in a world that often separates the physical from the emotional, the spiritual from the scientific—but what if they’re all connected by one fundamental truth: Everything is energy.
The Science of Energy
Physics teaches us that everything in the universe is made up of atoms: protons, neutrons, and electrons. These particles aren't static—they’re in constant motion, vibrating, exchanging forces. At the most basic level, matter is energy in motion. In that sense, there is no such thing as a solid form. . .it is all energy.
According to the First Law of Thermodynamics, energy cannot be created or destroyed. It can only be transformed. This means the energy that makes up our bodies, emotions, and experiences has always existed and will always continue to exist in one form or another.Energy can be transferred, altered, shared but it can never disappear entire alley
The Power of Emotional Energy
Science has begun to acknowledge what ancient cultures have long known: our emotions affect our health. Chronic stress, for example, is linked to high blood pressure, heart disease, digestive issues, insomnia, and even mental health disorders. On the other hand, positive emotional states—love, joy, peace—can strengthen the immune system, balance blood sugar, improve mental clarity, and promote healing.
We measure the energy in our bodies using tools like:
Heart rate monitors
EKGs and EEGs
CT scans and MRIs
EMF detectors
These are all ways of observing the energy systems at work within us.
Dr. Masaru Emoto and Water Consciousness
In the 1990s, Dr. Masaru Emoto (often misquoted as Matsuro Imoto) conducted experiments that claimed water molecules change structure based on the energy or emotions they’re exposed to. While his work is not widely accepted by mainstream science, it sparked a global conversation about how intention, thought, and emotion may affect the physical world.
Whether or not his findings are scientifically validated, the idea has value: our energy affects our environment, and vice versa.
The Moon, the Planets, and Cosmic Influence
The Moon’s gravitational pull is powerful enough to move oceans. Is it so far-fetched to believe it might influence human beings, who are made up of about 60% water?
Many emergency rooms report increased activity during full moons—a phenomenon that's been observed but remains debated. Likewise, animal behaviors shift with lunar phases. Some women’s menstrual cycles even align with the moon when artificial light is removed. Women’s cycles also align when they live in community with other women.
If we accept that the Moon has an effect on life, is it hubris to assume the other planets do not? Astrology, often dismissed as pseudoscience, is based on thousands of years of observation of these cosmic patterns. An exhibit at the Getty Museum titled "Rising Signs: The Medieval Science of Astrology" explored how astrology was integrated into the scientific and medical practices of medieval Europe, highlighting its cultural and historical relevance. A notable experiment conducted by Indian scientists Jayant Narlikar and Narendra Dabholkar involved astrologers attempting to match horoscopes with the personalities of children. The results showed that astrologers could only match correctly at a rate of 46%. In researching my own natal birth chart, I have answered many questions about myself. Why do I do the things I do? Why do I feel the things I feel?
This isn't about fate or losing free will—it’s about understanding the subtle energetic influences we live among every day.
Life, Death, and the Conservation of Energy
If energy cannot be destroyed, then what happens to our personal energy when we die?
Some cultures call it a soul, others call it spirit, chi, or prana. Whether you think of it as energy, consciousness, or divine spark, the idea that our essence continues in some form is supported by the conservation of energy.
Likewise, every new life enters the world not as a blank slate but as a continuation of energy. This echoes the beliefs of many ancient traditions that honor reincarnation, ancestral wisdom, or universal consciousness.
Conclusion: It’s All Energy
Everything affects us—people, politics, seasons, celestial bodies. We don’t live in a vacuum. To deny that we’re influenced by external energies is to deny a basic truth about existence.
The more we understand energy—within us, around us, and beyond us—the more empowered we become to live fully, responsibly, and in harmony.
